​There were squeals of delight, smiles and laughter from over 300 nurses on Dec 16 at a special premiere screening of MediaCorp Channel 8’s drama series on nurses, You Can Be An Angel Too.

Of course, it helped that the star cast, Zoe Tay, Bryan Wong, Rebecca Lim, Sheila Sim and Xu Bin made a special appearance at the screening. Held at SingHealth’s The Academia auditorium, the nurses from the various public healthcare institutions were also joined by Senior Minister of State Dr Amy Khor, the former Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Pauline Tan as well as the new CNO, Tan Soh Chin.

Dr Khor, who was the guest-of-honour, enjoyed the first instalment of the 20-episode series that was aired on MediaCorp Channel 8 from Jan 5, 2015 (weekdays).

The nursing drama series, which saw real nurses chipping in as technical consultants and even taking on some cameo roles, is part of MOH’s Care To Go Beyond campaign to attract more locals into the nursing profession even as the nation’s population grows and ages.​
