With a theme of "Standards for the 21st Century", the platform brought together thought leaders to actively share leading edge topics, current issues and future projections on healthcare terminologies, information models and exchange formats in the field of healthcare informatics standards. Attended by over 250 clinicians, administrators and IT leaders across the healthcare continuum, Guest-of-Honour, Mr Yap Chee Yuen, Chairman for Information Technology Standards Committee Singapore, opened the conference with a discussion on the governance of standards in Singapore.

Moderated by Dr Tai Hwee Yee, Senior Consultant at TTSH (left), the "Achieving Medication Safety" panellists had a lively discussion with the delegates
The two-day conference saw global experts from countries like UK, the United States, Canada, Sweden and Australia congregate in Singapore to share their insights on various topics ranging from medication safety and the use of Standards in healthcare IT. Amongst the prominent speakers were Professor Bryony Dean Franklin (Executive Lead Pharmacist (Research), Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust); Dr Stanley M.Huff (Chief Medical Informatics Officer, Intermountain Healthcare); Mr Dennis Giokas (Chief Technology Officer, Canada Health Infoway); Mr David Miller (IBM Distinguish Engineer, CTO Public Sector & Healthcare) together with Mr Soh Eng Kiat (Client Technical Advisor, IBM); Dr Ken Lunn (Director of Data Standards & Product, NHS Connecting for Health) and Mr Werner Van Huffel (Health & Social Services Director (APAC), Microsoft Corporation).
